Update on lay offs

We are way behind and nobody is supposed to know. It sucks cuz next week i have to go to all the clinics and discuss open enrollment for insurance, and pretend I don't know they are on limited time.

News leaked , we have a meeting with the union saturday.. Meaning I can't sleep in.
Looks like we'll be cutting non union and less seniority. Which sucks cuz I have this stack of evals I have no purpose for.
Altho the behavioral health dept is being cut in half , the ones who have private practices of their own

Here's why ...
When I was working registration we had a good electronic record system. Although we weren't entirely paperless we were green as we could be.
Not good enough for her... She ordered a.2.5 million dollar system that takes longer than the one we had. Taking longer means less patients getting seen which equals less money.
On top of that the board or ceo decided to build new clinics in arizona and utah, which are bringing less revenue than expected.
So instead of the cfo handeling fixing these issues, the folks at corporate handed the responsibilities over to district administrators (my boss) , and gave them free will to help them save money. So the admin passed her responsibility to my dept.
I havent.fired people I go to the sites and do the paperwork. Alsi the usual hr stuff.
so basically its a train wreck of bad decisions , and i'm sure its not gonna get better

The admin, however , said to keep it hush hush and compile a list people with poor evals, so we can weed out the poor workers. so basically she was trying to circumvent the rules. whomever leaked the news is getting canned for sure.
My office is a shit show , im glad I commute an hour that gives me time to wind doen before I get home.
